I'd be quite surprised if they didn't offer this program again next year...

FlyMeToTheLooneyBin Dec 8, 2009 9:47 pm

It's like a rebate, they keep offering it until they snag enough customers, then they stop.

Finally, a definitive answer. According to the wisdom on that site, the answer is "No Way." So there you have it OP, there will be no AADER in 2010.

I can confidently predict that if I go ahead and book travel now for 2010 then AA will immediately announce another AADER for that period which will exclude travel already booked. On the other hand, if I hold on until they introduce it, it won't happen.

When I checked the page, it said "Yes." Can you verify?

My suspicion is that if the economy and AMR continue to struggle we can expect a similar promotion 2nd half of '10.

I now return the magic 8 ball to the queue.

"Ask again later".

All I can verify is that most people that have speculated on the subject lean toward it happening, and if it's on the Internet, and more importantly on the AA forum at FT, then it must be so. Contrary to my previous research I know, but when has something speculated upon at FT ever come to be less than truth? Besides, gemac would never tempt the gods with an unreliable source, would he?

Now, I lent my crystal ball to brp and he has not given it back, but if I needed to go down to the camptown races and place a $2 bet I go for what ESPEN 36 says.

It seems that, the more useless the thread, the less search is used to see if the same useless topic has been posted already.

Apparently, just one thread of sheer speculation on the exact same topic wasn't enough.

Uh oh. I asked again later... "Outlook not so good."

I guess the OP can purchase his tickets with peace of mind that he won't be missing out on any double EQM promo.

You're welcome.

The magic eight ball says "Maybe."

Denolloyd Dec 9, 2009 8:40 am

As a DL traveler, I would enjoy AA having another promo next year. As AA recently made their SWU's much more competitive then DL's, It may make sense for me to have status on both. Use DL for domestic travel, and AA for Int. Not sure if AA will indeed have another promo, but I'd be all for it.
