AC Access ?

If I were an Admirals Club member flying on another airline, could I still use the AC? I did not see this covered under membership info.

Thanks...

Domestic clubs, yes. Just show your card. International rules can vary.

I don't understand this comment. Admirals Clubs are open to members no matter what airline is being flown.

Which international club do you think is an exception?

BAA in LHR requires passengers accessing a lounge to be departing on an airline that operates from that terminal. So if one was departing on IB from T2 @ LHR the AC member could not access the AC in T3. But if the AC member was flying UA then they could since UA and AA both depart from T3.

International can be an access issue/security. At international airports the AA club may be in a different Terminal and u will not be able to get to that area unless your boarding pass/airline departing is in the same area. If you are incoming (no onward flight) you can not get through security to get to the club.

Depends on the location. At least one FTer reported success accessing SCL upon arrival by making special arrangements with AA ground staff and local authorities to surrender his/her passport at Immigration for safekeeping and then get escorted back into the departure area to go to the club for a shower and breakfast.

(sounds like a hassle, not really worth it)

I understand well the "security" rules and physical location problems and I guess should have mentioned I knew those linitations.

The point is...

Admiral Club members are welcome in all Admirals Clubs - if they can get to them.
