Seats 9A/F on an MD-80
Is it true that there are no windows in this row? Seatguru says it has been replaced with a "vent".

When did that happen (replaced by a vent LOL )... Flown DCA-DFW-LAS-DFW-DCA 28 Dec 06, returned 1 Jan 07 and three out of four of the segments were on an MD-80 in either seat 9A or 9B. LOL, I could have swore I looked out a window.
I think seatguru is off their mark this time around.

Does that mean you get blasted by the moanings or the heat?

Perhaps what seat guru meant was a place to vent for being stuck on an MD-80

757s
Seatguru also shows 13 and 14 in AA 757s as missing a window. There are five windows behind the door between 1st and steerage, then a gap one window wide, one more window, then another gap.
I've been told the gaps in this case are for vents, they were optional on 737s with essentially the same fuselage, don't know if they were options or standard on 757s. There are lots of ways to prove that MD-80s don’t have a similar gap in windows, like this one: http://www.grahamowen.com/Adirondacks_2006.html
Ex TWA 757s have the same outside pattern but the note in seatguru says "misaligned window so you'll have to lean to look out". Which I think would more accurately describe 13 and 14 in the AA 757s. BTW the TWA affected rows are 11,12 and 13.
