I have no idea.

I am just here to earn points, post results, learn from FT and help others do the same as it happens.

Indeed...
- and thank you! I like to be the type of person who tries to stop companies like FTD and Ebay anything from ripping us off or failing to follow thru with things like this.

I did try this too but only found paypal number. I called and they sympathized, but could do nothing as the issue is with ebay. If you have those numbers anywhere, that would be good.

FTD gave me their corp. sales office number which I also called. I figured who ever they dealt with initially to set up points deals with ebay anything points might be able to help us. I am waiting for the call back. That person or team may be very interested to find out who came thru and who did not...

Nonetheless, my latest to report is that ebay is not going to budge on letting anyone but an almighty, unreachable points department deal with these point issues. If yours was NOT part of metarewards (FTD is not part of meta) then you have to duke it out with ebay. I would actually welcome this more than doing so with any FTer, but if there are a few bad apples every party. As the last few posts have revealed, however, there are also a lot more positive and very good people in here. And yeah, thank you all fo this promo even existing. I did rather well missing only the FTD in the end. I figure I spent about 45mins today on all things points and miles in my world. Not bad if it yeilds a few points for me and others. That includes other airlines but AA is who I plan to fly next so as one poster put it, being in striking range of an award is a good thing.

GO RED SOX! (now there's some big rivalry!)

PhoneHog.com update:

My PhoneHog account got up to 246 minutes, by a lot of clicking of their offers (the ones that were for information, so were free). Remember, use a free e-mail account as I suspect some of the offers will start the spam coming.

I went to Points.com and did a 240 minute transfer to Greenpoints (I left six minutes in the account for no real reason). This equalled 1,728 Greenpoints, which were posted immediately. I then did a 1,628 Greenpoints to American Airlines transfer (I left 100 Greenpoints in the account, which are probably worth a dime). The Greenpoints to AA transfer netted me 83 American Airlines miles.

I lot of work for a puny amount of miles, but it was free.

Late to the party!!!

Well, I just got back from a trip to Europe (in J on AA miles, of course!) and am a bit late to this fiesta. Still, I figured - why not?

I got the PointsPlus membership and the 2,100 points. Bought an Entertainment book and signed up for Audible, PremierHealth, and Ancestry. Given people's issues with ShareBuilder and the NYT, I'm not going to bother. Also, the links on the Anything Points/MetaReward page appear to be down (the site says "this offer is invalid") when you click on the buttons for SB and NYT.

With luck, the four points I have listed will hit sometime in the next couple of days, and I'll transfer my points to AA on Monday or Tuesday...

I have no idea.
I have no idea what you are talking about, either. I merely asked a simple question. I now invite you to edit your post to remove the "quote" (which in fact is not a quote) and personal attack. Thank you.

Back to the topic at hand: My recent e-mails to metarewrds CS and to Jude have bounced as undeliverable. Anybody else?

I sent an email to Jude today about the 1500 points I was supposed to get for signing up for the Experian "consumerinfo.com" "credit monitoring service" back in late May. No answer yet, but no bounce either.

If your email bounced right away, you might try mailing Jude again... if the bounce took longer, maybe I'll get one soon, and then I'll inform the thread.

Joined late to this promotion as well, and am having trouble finding the ancestry and audible links - as others have noted, the EBay anything points page ("Getpoints") only lists the credit card....not any of these other site links.

Can someone provide the links to these promotions? I did scroll through quite a few pages in this thread looking for them, but couldn't track 'em down.

Thanks much in advance.....

cactuspete, I will edit my post if you promiss me something: Be nice to me and others on this site. Pretty much all of your posts to me or about me have been rather negative. There is no denying it. I recall this starting years ago but it came back up more recently when you seemed to not mind singling people like me out in other threads. You post something decent (instead of the likes of the post I mis-quoted) and I will change that later quoted post.

OK, enough of that, alright? In a more relevant topic, I have emailed back and forth with Jude so maybe your attempt was just an email glitch. Try again. He seems pretty good about communicating with us but was unable to help me in my case as FTD is not part of the metarewards set of vendors. I have also had a bit more success with ebay since they are finally emailing me saying they are trying to help expidite points for me. I will post info on this if and when it comes for you and all to see.

i hope that helps at least one if not all in this thread.

Carry on all, and get miles.

good luck Cactus Pete and others with Jude!

Just heard from Jude

Everybody should be receiving this soon:

"Hello A2,

Looks like the tech folks figured out what the issue was. The points
will be
re-uploaded this Friday and should appear by Tuesday.

eBay Anything Points credit card

So I signed up for the eBay Anything Points credit card way back when it was first mentioned in this thread. I received my first statement and it said that I received the bonus 3000 eBay Anything points that came with the first purchase on the card. But when I log into my Anything points account, they are not there. I called customer service and they said to wait until my current billing period ends (July 7th). It looks like I'll miss the June 30th deadline for the bonus AA miles. Anyone else have any luck getting their eBay Anything points from the credit card to post?

Actually, the bounce took about 24 hours (2 different times).

Re: Ftd

I finally heard back from Ebay concerning my FTD account as follows. I am thinking others might be having the same problem if you gave FTD you Anything Points account # (when they asked for it). I gave them my Ebay ID first but apparently they didn't use it:

I have heard back from one of our anything points
specialists regarding your case and they have informed me that your
transaction came in with your EAP number instead of your eBay ID. FTD
has to send us the file with your User ID in order for you to receive
the points.

I would suggest contacting FTD and explaining the situation. They can
then send us the file with your correct information and you will receive
the points you have earned from this purchase.

among several other emails I have going back and forth with ebay, I got that exact same reply from them today only moments after yet another email from their CS. One person said they are trying to figure it out but that above message later came from that same person's email name. Sounds like they have scripted a reply to the problem they know they cannot fix. All I have been repeatingly asking them is:

WHO IS THE Person or dept in charge of points? Obviously CS cannot do it but ca they get those people to help us? Apparently not. Not yet that is.

I called FTD again and spoke with a manager who assured me that FTD did in fact send over using my ebay id. I wrote back to Ebay asking tjem to not put me in the middle anymore and to not blow smoke. I hope to hear something again. It seems once you email with them it takes another 24hrs to get a response. Time is moving.
I do doubt this will get resolved but what gets me is that they cannot even admit that on their end. You gotta watch out for big companies that do that and ones that do not have phone numbers like ebay.

Paypal says that it is an ebay thing, ftd says it does take 6-8 weeks from the moment you order which means my may 11 order might hit on the 29th of june, being the 6th week, but we all know that is not set in stone, and ebay cannot find or deal with the points dept of its own sub-company!

FTD said they would try to get the points person in their company to talk to me next monday when that person is in again. Convenient that they are not this week, but my goal is to try to talk directly to those who do points and ask them what we need to know for next time if there is one, and what we need to know to get these points right now.

If anyone wants more detailed info on everything I have already done with ebay, I suppose I can fax it but your machine better accept lots of pages. (I offered this to ebay too but they dont respond to that--or to many things they just cannot really handle. Sounds weird to me but they are big and have the power ot be stupid, as do so many in chage of things these days.

These calls/emails were done today whilst between projects at the office. Yesterday I worked from home. I figure I have time to grab my little miles because one day I will be on a free flight.

Of course they have scripted a reply. Whenever you contact them, each new person first responds with: "It takes 6 to 8 weeks for the points to post." You always get this response, even if it has been more than 8 weeks. The next scripted response is always, "It's ebay's fault."
