I would definitely report this to AA customer relations. The crew needs to be disciplined and the offender blackballed from flying AA ever again. Such behaviour is thoroughly unacceptable on too many counts. FAs should be put on unpaid leave for a week to learn their lesson. And don't be coy. ID the person on Twitter and let him face his comeuppance!

How likely isn't to see someone pretty famous on a JFK to LAX or LAX to JFK flight in F or J?

I'm traveling from JFK to LAX in F and LAX back to JFK in J in a few weeks.

If everybody just cuddled and shut up, what a nice place it would be!

I hope her service wasn't too disrupting during the 3 hours.

Hey,cut the guy some slack. An upcoming star and pro baseball player - he can't have much quality time with his girlfriend and has to take every opportunity. I would have asked him to put out his cigarette though.

Ive had a few seatmates in F that I would have gladly cuddled with for the entire flight... but 95% of the time I have no desire to cuddle with my seatmates up there... Wrong team and way too old/fat

Concur. Look at the whole Alec Baldwin fiasco. And that clown was totally in the wrong.

A friend is an FA on this route almost exclusively. It's quite common.

Generally those sitting in F (usually well know talent, directors, producers) are escorted to the gate and the boarding door. Although IME they board by themselves. Lot of celebrities also on the LAX/MIA flights.

I think I've flown this route in F maybe 3-4 times. once Clay Aiken was in F and another time Mary Louise Parker. So I'd say based on my data, it's pretty common. But nobody was snuggling with anybody.

There is almost always some famous people in any given F/J cabin of significance. Not always actors/singers/bands or athletes though, I met quite a few politicians over the years, one was a Foreign Minister of a South Pacific country who is in fact Canadian born. Another one was then the Secretary General of the British Commonwealth. There could be more, I probably wouldn't recognize them unless we chatted.

As for famous celebrities, the Hollywood type (actors/singers) -- I can think of 4 occasions. One on a QF flight in F from BNE-AKL, they were on their way back to LA. It was some type of A-list Hollywood actor with his gf, I don't remember the name because it was 10+ years ago. Then there was an Australian rockstar I think who boarded our QF flight in F from LAX to JFK at LAX -- in case you don't know, QF also does the LAX-JFK-LAX transcon as well but these days it's almost impossible to get it as an award. The QF FAs were visibly "agitated" and one even asked me if I know that this so and so was on board. She then went to ask for a signature like a 15 year old little girl. I had no idea who that Australian star was except the QF FAs were extremely excited.

The 3rd time that I can recall, I was flying from PEK to HKG on CX - a very well known Hong Kong actress was travelling with her husband. I was already seated at my J seat when a middle age man stopped in front of me, looking a little awkward, I figured he was going to take the seat besides me so I made sign he could pass through. Then a FA quickly came over and explain that this man would like to sit with his wife and if I could change seat. When I saw his wife, that's when I recognized who she is. I happily obliged. Both of them said thank you, she seemed genuinely nice, there was not any hint of of DYNWIA.

Most recent one that I can think of was two years ago, the day after LA inaugurated their 787 Dreamliner service from SCL to LAX. The LA 787 Dreamliner had the new J at the time so I was looking forward to take some nice pictures and check out the seat / entertainment system. Well, I never had a chance. Soon after we boarded, my eccentrically dressed seat mate turned out to be a US rock star who just finished a motorcycle tour of Chile. He started to chat me up -- for most part that 11+ hours flight. He was nice, really down to earth, objectively speaking not bad looking -- just not my type. It was fun though but I had zero pictures from that flight, didn't feel right to start taking pictures left and right then, especially a Chilean guy across the aisle who was presumably with his wife was eyeballing us the whole time, for what, I don't know.

Come to think of it, most the famous people seem to fly Oneworld more than the other two alliances, I wonder why...

I can only speak for myself.
I have flown JFK-LAX-JFK in business several times and I have NEVER seen anyone famous.
Perhaps F is different.

There is a whole thread of celebrity sightings somewhere in this forum. Look it up if you care to do so.
