Schedule change makes connection illegal, is there anyone to contact?
AA changed the time for my flight from DFW to BWI in November. Now my MSY-->DFW-->BWI connection is illegal (27 minutes). This is the third time AA adjusted the schedule but this time I have no option to get from MSY to BWI at a reasonable time (before 2 PM).
Does anyone know to whom to write a letter pointing out that the current schedule does not leave any flight options out of MSY since the morning STL flight has also been cancelled. All I need is 8 minutes!
Delta is the other option and I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK!!!

If I have to fly, then give me a Maker's Mark and water.

Two choices.
1) If you think you could make that connection work, do nothing and try to make the connection.
2) If not, call AA and ask for an alternative. If they don't offer you an acceptable one, you can get a full refund.

I had some schedule changes that amounted to me being bumped on the next flight after a connection in ORD. They staunchly would not bend the minimum connection time by two minutes (even though both flights in ORD were mainline, thus both gates in the H/K concourse). With DFW you can never presume to be so lucky - they could be anywhere.
The plat desk DID eventually let me switch to the first flight SJC-ORD instead of SFO-ORD because it was obvious that I had intended to book the first flight of the day to get there EARLY. Had I not switched to another airport, though, I'm pretty sure I'd have had to stick with it.
Can you get confirmed on the NEXT flight out of DFW, then get put on the standby list for the flight you actually want?

Maybe you can ask for an alternate destination airport, DCA??? unless you really have to go to BWI....

I was on a RTW ticket in March, and arrived in SFO for my night flight to MIA, and discovered the "red-eye" had been removed from the schedule! I was able to get an agent to route me SFO-BOS-MIA.

I have had this happen with absCOnd.....I did nothing. I had a 1 hour connection on a bwi-cle-ord become a 14 minute one.....When my arriving flight came in I just went to the gate and played dumb and they 121.20'd me to a united flight from cle-ord, which had nothing left but first class, so it worked out nice

Sometimes AA puts flights in to the same gates. LGA, for example, usually gets decent and consistent placement.
I suspected that BWI and MSY (both low cost destinations generally) did not get such preference. I took a quick look on AA.com and the flights have not arrived/departed from the same gates consistently over the past couple of days. Flight 2037 from MSY- to DFW has arrived at gates A18, C32 and C33. Flight 1664 from DFW to BIW has departed from A16, C14 and A34. 27 minutes can be tough to get from A to C terminals.
I would try the DCA option. They will often allow you to change airports/routings because of a schedule change like this. You can route through MIA or STL to get there before 2.
