Marlin Perkins...now that would be cool.

"I'll just sit here sipping my martini while Jim wrestles the giant, irate passenger to the ground"...what a fabulous show.

Cheers.

Not soundly, or not soundlessly? Somehow, I can envision the latter.

Cheers.

Both! He kept waking himself up with his loud snoring!

I have never flown AA before but because of a late international flight, I was rebooked on AA from LAX to IAD on August 19. Both Simon Crowell and Randy Jackson (judges from American Idol) were in first class as well as Simon's girlfriend. They were flying to Washington DC for the auditions being held this weekend.

8/26
JFK-LAX AA#19
Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero (Vincent Pastore) from the Sopranos in 11B (Business Class). Boarded with a baseball cap pulled down almost over his eyes. Read the 'Globe' from front to back during the flight.

I don't have exact dates and flights, but...
  • Quinn Buckner (Dallas Mavericks coach 1993-94 in First DFW-HNL right after he was fired from the Mavs.)
  • Mario López (Before "Dancing With the Stars", Albert Clifford 'A.C.' Slater on "Saved by the Bell". A real brat. :( )
  • Donna Douglas ("Elly May" on the Beverly Hillbillies. In coach. Really nice.)
  • Mel Tillis (In line at an AA ticket counter at DEN)
  • Martina Navratilova

I flew into OAK and was sitting out front waiting for someone to pick me up and the singer, drummer and guitar player from counting crows walked by.

LAX Admirals Club apparently gets a fair amount of "celebrities" from the pornography industry -- explaining the top-heavy "assets" of some there. :D

Long thread, but I bet that if someone went back and tallied it, they'd discover than there are more celebrity sightings on JFK-LAX than any other route.

2 sightings this past weekend: Captain Kirk and the Queer Eye Guy

On AA flight 1952 from DFW-SDF this past Friday Aug 27th, Carson from the Queer Eye sat in coach. I talked to the flight attendant about it and she said that 1st was full so their was nothing they could do to get him upgraded.

AA flight 300 from SDF-DFW this past Sunday Aug 29th. I sat in front of Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and his wife. Had a small conversation with him waiting for 1st class to board. Just small talk about the hour of the morning.

I've rarely been on a plane w/ a celebrity flying in and out of LAX, but I get 2 in one weekend flying in and out of Louisville!?!?

When I used to work for AA/Sabre, we used to check the transcon pax lists for celebs. Usually quite a few on the red-eyes.

Just got back from my honeymoon :) On 8/16 SFO-LAX, we sat two rows behind Terry Bradshaw (ex-NFL player and current NFL commentator). On yesterday's LHR-LAX flight in F (it was awesome!), we sat right next to Samuel L Jackson. He read, listened to music, and watched a couple movies during the flight. At the end we asked him for his autograph. One of the F movies being offered was Twisted, which he was in. So we took the little card that had all the movies listed and asked him to autograph it. He had overhead us tell the FAs that we were on our honeymoon. So on the card he wrote 'Happy Marriage!' Definitely a neat person to be sitting next to for such a long flight.
