? regarding using my AA miles on Hawaiian Air

I just booked Hawaiian Air JFK to HNL with AA 37.5 supersaver award for next october 18th. But, when the final page it shows status as on request.. did not allow me to pick a seat and says I have to pay for luggage. I thought if I booked first class I did not have to pay for luggage? Also, why would not it confirm my booking.. is this normal when booking an award flight? Thanks for any help?

It's normal when booking any non-AA flight, award or paid. They have to "Request" from the other airline.

Cheers.

Thank you. Do you normally know how long that takes to get a confirmation?
Will I be able to pick out a seat then?

HA's rules pertain, not AA's rules. HA's rules are that customers traveling in First Class do not have to pay for the first two bags. AA's website may not quote different rules for coach and first class awards.
