10% Rebate on miles used for awards.
Could some one help me with my math.
If I redeem 40,000 miles for an award, should I get 3,000 or 4,000 miles back?
Since I'm pretty sure the answer is 4,000 (unless there is some AA rule I missed) I'd better contact Aa as they only gave me 3,000.
Thanks

you should get 4000 miles back, the only exception I can think of is that I believe there's a cap (10k?) on the mileage you can get rebated, so if for instance you'd already received 7k back this year, 3k would make sense. Check out the T&C to be sure...

Not even close to that limit. Looks like it's time to contact AA

Could someone clarify please? Under what conditions does someone get a 10% rebate for miles used for awards.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Some of the AA-branded Citi credit cards have this as a benefit. I redeemed 45000 miles for AKL-SYD-HKG in QF J/F on 19 August, and this morning I noticed 4500 miles had been added back to my account. The date showing is 19 August, but I know the miles posted overnight yesterday into today.

Thank you for the clarification. Had I seen the other thread, I would not have posted my question.
