Got to 0 for about 24 hours about a month ago...that had never happened...looked very strange.

I do my travel planning for 5 of us...for upgrade reasons I split the records...it is very easy to have 25 on the screen at the same time....that is probably the maximum.

2, but 3 separate tickets. Two are being used for a MR (positioning flight and actual MR ex-RDU). Another is a vacation trip.

Three, but I will be booking two more in the morning. Now that I met my UA challenge need to concentrate on AA to retain status.

Right now I have 5, but I expect that I will book 6 or 7 more before the end of the year.

The most I had was my very first Mileage Run weekend, with seven RTs, six nested in the positioning flights. Very first flight went down with mechanical, had to re-route via ORD instead of direct to DFW, had to move one nested RT to end and change airports between DAL and DFW (co-terminals) for beginning/end, switch the start of the 2nd nested RT from DFW to DAL, and move back the return positioning some hours to accommodate the moved 1st nested RT to the end.

AA phone desk and GAs were very helpful and accommodating (helped by my being very organized and knowing exactly all the flight info for doing the switching--thanks to research on FT and MR Forum suggestion for knowing alternatives "just in case"), even though I had no status (These MRs were also my start of Gold Challenge, which I was also able to finally make an elusive--now impossible--double challenge just before the miles posted online ^).

Thanks to that experience and firm entrenching of proper preparedness, nearly every flight delay/mechanical/missed connection has actually resulted in either arriving at my destination earlier than originally scheduled or extra miles scored. THANKS FT :-:^

As of today 4. I go from NYC to LAS regularly and had been able to get fares @$250 + tax, AA's cheapest (weekend) fares are running $400 + tax--I'm waiting for a sale before making future bookings.

Last week was down to zero for the first time in years.

A certain unnamed moderator started razzing me so I booked 3 trips through December and have another 3 on hold at the moment.

Yay I've finally got one! Shame it's an award so I won't earn anything on it
