No more 5000 mile Platinum discount on top value awards
Any one else notice this. That means a 15,000
mile net increase with new policy for platinum members booking last minute top value transcons. Luckily, I have a plan B and a chance to burn my 300,000 US miles
@40,000 offseason/45,000 primetime for top
value awards and 20,000/25,000 value awards
if available.
Also in looking at the new HP Flash Award map
shows that people living near SLC have a
geographical advantage for the short haul as
actual flight miles are not a factor but
gepgraphical point to point miles are.

This change happened around the same time as the new "revisions" were announced.
