ANC hot in late Aug?

Just realized that our hotel, the Capt. Cook is not air conditioned and there are some pretty negative reports on Trip Advisor re: very hot rooms. We will only be there one night on Aug. 25 so hopefully fall will be in the air?

Not sure what you'd consider hot. Today it was in the low 70s...

That sounds perfect and I would imagine it cools down quite a bit at night.

Not as much as you would think... our nights aren't that long yet.

I've stayed at the Captain Cook a few times at that time of year, and don't remember that the room was particularly hot.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Things will be cooling off by then and if your room doesn't have a southern exposure, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
