Brooks Falls - when in July?
Thinking of some bear sighting next summer (thanks to Kenny for the inspiration). It seems July is the best time to see them at Brooks Falls. However, when in July is the best? End of July works best for my schedule.

It depends on the salmon runs which vary from year to year. But most of July is great. I would try to avoid the first few days of July if possible.
I never recommend Brooks as a day trip. Camping is cheap - reserve the first morning they open in January - and you gets triple or more bear viewing time vs. a day trip.
