Soup soup everywhere- but what type, where and when?
That is the question that is this thread...

Noticed the same at SEA D lounge yesterday. Since PP is no longer accepted, thinking offerings might improve. Not the case. LAX lounge noticed also reduced choices.

Salad and dinner rolls being put out right now in D, and the breakfast offerings seem better than JFK. Pancakes are closer to silver dollar size than the plate size ones from back when the plates were clear. I actually think this is better even if it’s nominally a portion reduction. Can always hit the button twice.
12/1 SEA D Upper Steak + Black Bean or Fire Roast Vegetables
as with so many things at AS, the employees really make the difference. ^^^ Wonderfully pleasant folks from the front desk concierges, bar staff, and even contract food service/cleanup people. As I was walking out with my illicit lounge cookies in a napkin, ‘You know we have bags, right?’ and not ‘sir, lounge food must be consumed in the lounge only’.

12/1 PDX empty Tomato Basil Bisque (refilled)
ETA: some sliced hard boiled eggs I guess were leftover from breakfast were in the fridge earlier, now nothing in the fridge (especially not the hummus & veggie sticks of yesterday) but there is an assemble yourself Asian salad.
Is PDX back to the one or the other choice of years ago when they wouldn’t put out cheese cubes everyday (which incidentally were missing on both visits over the past two days)? I guess I just don’t understand why the offerings can’t be standardized across seven AL locations.

Chicken noodle soup in the PDX lounge today. Perfect choice, given all the people with colds that I’ve seen walking around the airport

12/18 PDX minestrone. Seat taken, with bags next to it, while using restroom. Ridiculously overcrowded and unpleasant.
