American Eagle Flights and Status Miles

American Eagle Flights and Status Miles
If I fly American Eagle and credit to AS, will the miles count toward MVP status? (This would be an AA flight operated by American Eagle). The Partner Guide isn't clear. I'm trying to decide between an American Eagle flight and a WN flight on th SJC-SAN route. Earning four RR credits is much better than 1,000 non-status miles. But I'd definitely change my mind if the Eagle flight counted as an MVP segment.

25k(Partenr miles) for MVP and 50K(partner miles)for MVP GOLD.
