AA Elite benefits for Alaska Saver Fares
I am an AA Gold/OneWorld Ruby. If I purchase an Alaska Saver fare, do I still get a free checked bag? Any other elite benefits (i.e. early boarding)?

Purchasing saver fare as a AA Gold/OW Ruby allows for 2 free checked bags for the status member only.

You should be able to select preferred seating and will be listed for upgrades, but temper your expectations as the odds of that happening for AA Gold is near the bottom of the list.

I now live in DFW where the obvious choice is AA and I switched programs. AA has come a long way in delivering their service and product but I have been happy with them so far. I still think AS is a good airline but their primarily 737 fleet is a big turn-off when doing trans cons.
