Good morning,
I've noticed 3 frequencies have similar messaging ANC-SEA today the 29th.
FAI-SEA also just lost one.
Guess this has to do with a possible snow event in SEA from AS' waivers online?

How bad does everyone think it'll be? Have a car lined up for 2 days, or i could take the light rail into the city?

current forecast is ~2.5 inches in town this afternoon and evening (then warming up a bit overnight), but strangely no significant accumulations around SEA

AS just completed their winter ops exercise on November 10 with the hope that they can prevent their yearly snow/deice melt down. They've added four deicing trucks, have secured extra deicing space and have a plan in place to relocate AS deicing personal from Alaska to SEA. They've also added hotel rooms for airport staff to ensure there are enough folks to keep the operation running. I guess we will see if they've improved their snow/ice operation pretty quick.

It's coming down very lightly with little accumulation right now around the SeaTac area
Edit as of 09:26am SEA… it’s coming down pretty good now.

Light rail will 100% get you into the city, I'd just wait to see how things are when you land before deciding on the car.

Beckoa I know you know Seattle pretty well. Not sure why anyone would want or need a car, if you're in the downtown core (ie Dtwn, Belltown, SLU, Cap Hill, First Hill, Pioneer Sq). Parking is crazy is expensive and hard to find. Light Rail, Bus, Uber/Lyft are readily available. Then put snow on top of it with the potential of icy hills around dtwn. I get if you're dealing with stuff outside this area a Car is ideal, but dtwn not really.

There is a certain store at Angle Lake I'd like to go to. Plus have wheels for later. I can drive in the snow fine, it's others I'm concerned with.

Its definitely coming down earlier and harder than predicted. So who knows how that plays out over the next few days other than the higher chances of ice.
