WOW, fares next year high
Just now looking for fares for January 2021. Getting ready to use Companion Code. One way fare, non refundable, LAX/ SEA
Main cabin. $549. Wow!! For comparison...Discounted F is about $200 now.

They generally don't load many lower seat buckets so far out.

They usually load the schedule at 330 days and then load the less expensive buckets around 320 days out.

I was looking at PDX - IAD yesterday and they wanted $1100 round trip on a Jan 4 2021 return.

if you are wanting to come to DC for inauguration plans next year----hold off till the seasts load. those fares likely even higher

Interesting that other airlines load cheap fares right away but AS doesn't. January 5 SEA-MFR is $49 on DL but $399 on AS.

Two weeks around Christmas is almost always high fares no matter what. Those seats will be sold and Alaska always is a premium carrier at this time. But when fares first load the fares are always the high bucket fares. In time the lower fares do post, but again, the core dates around Christmas, or any other holiday are almost always full fare seats at this time.
