MVP in Q Class Can't Choose Premium Seats? (No, Only at Upgrade Window)

MVP in Q Class Can't Choose Premium Seats? (No, Only at Upgrade Window)
I have to book through my company portal, long story short, the outbound was booked into a Q class the other is Y,
The Q class one is showing F wait-list but if u want to sit in row 1 to 6 (I think) it was an extra fee. I don't remember this ever to be the case. Does this seem right??

According to the Alaska website only Y, Z*, S, or B fares qualify for MVP.
MVPG and 75k are upgraded on a wider range of tickets, did you drop to MVP recently?
Or are you usually booking within the 48 hour upgrade window for PC?
