How is AS Sfo/ogg nonstop compared to HA??

Oops - trying to compare AS F with HA F
AS seems to be 737 recliner - is it the same type of F that AS would use for Sfo/ord or even Sfo/las?
I would still hope that the worst AS F is better than HA Y or HA comfort Y.

Opinions appreciated - AS is 2/3 the cost but of course HA F is extremely nice. And of course HA has less delays with OGG compared to United - does AS have bad delays with OGG??

I'm guessing this isn't exactly what you were looking for but LAX/SFO-Hawaii is approximately the same flight time as LAX/SFO-NYC. If you don't mind JFK/EWR-LAX/SFO in economy then you probably don't mind LAX/SFO-Hawaii in economy.

OT: Flying in Y makes your miles go a lot further. More trips to Hawaii.

I have flown both. HA's F on the A330 is a lot better than AS's F to Hawaii. Both hard and soft product.

Unless you have another planned use for those miles, I would take HA. But, I am a fan of burning miles quickly to avoid sticky situations like devaluation.

IME, not typically, sometimes some minor delays due to late incoming a/c.

AS flights to/from Maui will be a 737-800 with three rows of F with decent pitch. For what it is, it's decent.

On the LAX/SFO or other mainland routes you might have gotten ex Virgin a/c (A320) with varying interiors. AS doesn't fly the Airbus A/C to Hawaii.

The AS 737-800s and 900s seats and pitch are identical. The 900 has one more row of F than the 800.

Gracie everyone. AS is cheaper and I’ll probably still pay top dollar on HA. It’s so nice.

Are not the OGG flights on new A321s? You might want to research those aircraft before you pay a bundle more for a seat that may only be marginally more comfy than AS F.

HA A321s have a tighter pitch than Alaska.... its almost the same chair as you find on American's A321s-- so make sure to check the equipment

ex-OGG IIRC, AS has some rather tasty catering up front.

I do enjoy the seat pitch and service on AS. Haven't flown HA in several decades (and was nonstop from ANC) but think AS does a fine job. Plus your miles are actually worth something on AS
