Seeing how I woke up at 7:30, I'm definitely not getting there by 8, but I'll try to show up sooner rather than later.

sitting in the A1 area by the window ... nice Beecher’s breakfast spread, but I didn’t see any swag except at the media check-in table in the main lobby

the employee/media flight to PDX is N643QX which has a decal saying “1500th EJet”

We are sitting at the windows in the middle part, across from the bar.

on board at T-30

swag at the seats — denim amenity kit, chocolate bar, and a pin showing all the PAE routes ... FT still doesn’t like uploading my iPhone photos so I’ll have to migrate them to my laptop

FA offered pre-mixed mimosas!

Stunning views of Mount Rainier and Mt St Helens on the way out today. A beautiful day to fly an inaugural!

Just realized I’m flying PHX-SEA today. Maybe I should change to PHX-PAE to try out the new route!

on 2877 LAS-PAE at T-30

thanks to Missamo80 for guesting me into The Club ...

apparently LAS catering didn’t get the memo about PDB service because we have Chardonnay

GAs handed everyone a chocolate and a pin at the top of the jetway

I just boarded the inaugural PHX-PAE fight. There were signs of earlier festivities, but nothing else special at the gate.
Excited to see the new PAE terminal.

The run from Gate E15 to the other end of the airport and back just to snarf some free food between inbound and outbound is always fun

wooild SEA and PAE be considered eligible for free same day change and considered interchangeable for departure and arrivals?

No. SDC terms specify no co-terminal changes (not even sure they consider PAE and SEA co-terminals?), though you may be able to find an agent willing to do it for you as it seems some of the other rules have been bent at times. Wouldn't count on it being an option if you really needed one or the other though.

Today's New York Times, both print and online, has a long article about private companies running airports. What is fascinating is the interior shot of PAE, showing a readerboard with about 15 AS and UA flights, including flights 15 minutes apart! Obviously this was a test/demo screen with more flights than would take place over a 3-hour period...
