I've searched and couldn't find an overall opinion.
Currently AA-EXP but due to all the changes in their program I've been spreading the wealth to other carriers based on flight times.
Currently Miles on AA are only at about 26k but by Dec 9th I'll add about another 30k Miles to that total with my 2 trips this month.
Question - If I apply now will the Match my AA-EXP to MVP or would everyone recommend I wait till Dec 9th?

Status matched with UA last 2 years, this last year without even asking. I think it may be a bit too much to wish for 3 years but stranger things have happened.

Requested MVP 75k on 10/20 based on:
1. companion pass that was earned via hotel point transfer (back in March when that was allowed)
2. A-list preferred earned via flying (hit 70,000 tier qualifying points in October)
Saw match to MVP 75 on Nov 8th when logging into account and got email on Nov 9th.
The confusing thing is the email says "nominated." I though maybe that meant challenge, but checked the online card and it is good until 12/2018.
In either event I'm moving all my business over to Alaska....

Requested on 10/23. Profiled updated today to say MVP, no email yet. And can't change seats into "elite seats" yet.
Sidenote, when the system refreshes will I be able to move my wife, booked on same confirmation number, into elite seats as well?

Southwest A-List Preferred & Companion Pass
(must hold both)
They made the change... I am A-list and CP, only got MVP. They found out too many people had CP.
