Elite Benefits and Other Travelers
Note: I spent around 30 minutes trying to search for this info, but to no avail. Apologies in advance if this has been answered.
I'm MVPG on AS and am looking to book tickets for my parents from SEA to MEX for a flight next week (final destination is San Miguel de Allende). I will not be traveling with them as I'm heading down earlier in the week. Few questions on the scenario:
1) If I book for them on my account, do they get my benefits? All, none, partial?
2) Namely, there is U-space available for instant upgrade on the flights I'm looking at. Would they get upgraded on booking, or would they have to use paper certs?
3) All-in-all, is just it better to have them book on their own and use paper certs?
