No guarantees it'll work for you, but if I hadn't just jumped on this 10 days ago, I'd sure be all over it now.

You're welcome.
Indeed! This worked for instant approval for my wife yesterday, and she already has one BoA Black Alaska Signature. We will wait and see on the miles!

Or call toll free 800-654-2584
Thanks for the number, Boraxo. I'd bookmarked that site but procrastinated in applying. Noticed yesterday that the offer wasn't online anymore and when I called the number in the link (United States 1-800-551-0839) they told me the offer was only for 25,000.

I called Boraxo's number and they were still offering the 40,000 mile card. Got it!

Thanks!

Interested in how this goes. Applied last week and was approved for visa sig with 25k bonus miles, but would love to get the 40k.

If you are asking is there's an offer for signing up for the mileage plan, I think it's ~500 miles and automatic.

Edit: I think if you a resident of Northern CA you can a 25K bonus:

There's the link for the standard BofA Visa card bonus. As noted above, there may be a higher bonus for new cardmembers by phoning.

I applied for and was approved for this card. The miles posted immediately to my account.

Newb question: If I never activate the card, will I have to pay the annual fee next year? Is there any advantage to not having to activate?

Thanks!

They are likely to bill you for the annual fee whether or not you activate the account. I don't think there's any linkage whatsoever between the two.

I can't think of a single benefit for you to obtain by not activating it.

Two of the perks associated with the card are the companion ticket, and also (is it triple?) miles on all AS purchases. Wouldn't you activate the card to at the very least purchase your ticket plus companion?
