Indeed! This worked for instant approval for my wife yesterday, and she already has one BoA Black Alaska Signature. We will wait and see on the miles!

Or call toll free 800-654-2584
I called Boraxo's number and they were still offering the 40,000 mile card. Got it!
Thanks!

Thanks for the number, Boraxo. I'd bookmarked that site but procrastinated in applying. Noticed yesterday that the offer wasn't online anymore and when I called the number in the link (United States 1-800-551-0839) they told me the offer was only for 25,000.

If you are asking is there's an offer for signing up for the mileage plan, I think it's ~500 miles and automatic.
Edit: I think if you a resident of Northern CA you can a 25K bonus:

There's the link for the standard BofA Visa card bonus. As noted above, there may be a higher bonus for new cardmembers by phoning.

I can't think of a single benefit for you to obtain by not activating it.

Two of the perks associated with the card are the companion ticket, and also (is it triple?) miles on all AS purchases. Wouldn't you activate the card to at the very least purchase your ticket plus companion?
