Should have no problems and it's a pretty good lounge from a food perspective, but they do strict enforcement of the 2 drink maximum when you're there (they scan your boarding pass at the bar every time you get a drink).

ATL Update
Good news from my layover in Atlanta today. I went to Samuel Adams Brewpub after our flight landed around 1pm, and since it was on the same concourse as our arriving flight. They were busy, but we were seated immediately. I ordered wings with Korean BBQ sauce and my wife had the turkey wrap. Also ordered a side of coleslaw and a hard cider. While this is not a fancy place by any means (silverware is plastic and plates are disposable) the food wasn't bad at all,.especially for the price I paid (I.e., just the tip). The wings were large and crisp and the sauce was good. The turkey wrap and coleslaw were also good. The bill came out to $40 with tax, so we could have gotten more with our $56 allowance, but we didn't need it.
Then since we had to head to Concourse E for our flight to Quito and had two hours before the flight, I decided to to try my luck at the actual lounge, The Club at ATL, which is on F. There was a line of maybe ten people when we arrived, Much to my surprise, they allowed us into the left side of the lounge, which was fairly small. It's not going to be winning any awards for best lounge, and the food selection was fair at best. But we found a couple of comfortable chairs to kill some time, and the chocolate chip cookies were decent. Would have been more upset about the food choices had we not already eaten lunch at Sam Adams. They did turn someone away while I was on line, maybe because their flight wasn't for several hours. When we return, we'll definitely check out the lounge, since I'm sure that our flight will arrive in that concourse and it opens at 6.. Sam Adams is open for breakfast at 7am and I was told by our server (who checked with a manager) that they would take my PP card even though the PP app said they currently only take it starting at 11. They apparently have a very limited breakfast menu, just four items. Hopefully the lounge will let us in 3+ hours before our flights and have a decent breakfast selection. First time in a while that I can say that PP did well by me. |
PRG Lounge
Seems that Prague is no longer accessible through priority pass cards issued by Citi Prestige or Cap 1 Venture X. Haven't tried Amex Plat priority pass cards yet. Very strange, as they have a huge Priority Pass sign on the door, but told me they renegotiated their contract as of July 1, 2023, and now only certain PP cards are allowed in. Does anyone's account show PRG lounges? If so, is your PP card associated with a different bank, or is it a non-bank affiliated PP account? |
PRG is there for me, US Amex.

When I search through the Cap1 app (Venture X), it shows nothing is available at PRG. |

I have PP via Amex Plat. When I look for ATL locations, the Samuel Adams place does not show up as affiliated. Does it differ by what card you have or is the PP app out of date?

Atlanta Update #2
Just a brief update. We flew back through ATL and arrived at The Club at ATL a few minutes after they had opened at 6am. No trouble getting in. They had a basic breakfast, some scrambled eggs, yogurt, fruit. I stopped at Sam Adams to look at their breakfast menu since we were flying out of Concourse B. They had a Breakfast Platter, Bacon & Cheese Sandwich, Sausage & Cheese Sandwich and Breakfast Burger. Did not try eating there.

Differs by card. Amex PP no longer covers restaurants, only lounges.

Don't they have some of their own lounges these days?

Since LAX has no PP lounge, I haven't been able to get to one lately. Finally saw there is an Aspire Lounge in AMS terminal 2, however it is closed due to renovations. 2 other locations were open as substitutes in the terminal. The one closest to the security point looks really really crowded, so we passed that one. Then we got to the one further inside near gate D7. It looks crowded but not as much so we decided to give it a try. Turns out you have to scan a QR code to get in line to go in like a restaurant. I got in queue, and it was number 17. About 30 minutes later, it went down to 14. At that point, we gave up waiting and just went over to the gate and grab something from the nearby store to drink/eat. For those who will be visiting the PP temporarily lounge by D7 in terminal 2 of AMS, here is the link to the QR code for waiting in the list. You could start queuing up before you get to the airport! Not sure if the QR code change URL every day or it is static.

I've had the best luck at smaller, regional airports, with a "Lounge" (The Lounge?"). Pretty standard product but they get the job done. I'd rather have it than not.
Edit ... the club, not the lounge. |
Went to the VIP lounge in Puerto Vallarta with PP from CapitalOne, started off empty but within half an hour, the lounge filled up including wild children...
|
I find it absurd that LAX still doesn't have any PP lounges... Very disappointed. Hoping to finally get to use it if I end up visiting Asia.
