LAS is my home airport so im here a decent amount and I can't think of more than one or two occasions where I thought that the staff was behind on picking up.

uhh, the I haven’t guested anyone in the past 300 or so visits I’ve made to various CLs and SCs. It provides a nice retreat for road warriors - it’s not supposed to be a family entertainment center. To hell with guests.

you're right. it's not supposed to be. but especially at LAS that's exactly what it is. I'm hard pressed to think of the times when I have seen a single traveler at the check in desk as opposed to groups of 3-5. Always small children. Always couples or more.

Curious why you guys think that the lounge is meant for only business people on the road? Why is the a kids playroom in the lounge if that is the case? I do agree that the lounges are too crowded. A good way to limit this would be to limit the amount of times people visit the lounge. Why should a road warrior be able to visit the lounge 4 times a week with the same annual payment as a family using a lounge twice a year?

Limiting the number of visits defeats the purpose of a membership. If the family wants access, everyone in the family should have a membership, perhaps save for a few day passes.

The total amount of visits per card member is what matters for traffic at the lounges. Somebody who visits 100 times a year alone causes more traffic than a person that visits 5 times but brings 2 guests each time. They pay the same fee so why does the person alone have to benefit more? Would a limit of for example 40 visits per card member per year be all that bad?

It's always amazing how many veteran road warriors brag about how they have dealt with every tough travel situation and will laugh at kettles who get stressed out and then throw a fit if they have to ... sit within 10 feet of another human in a lounge.
