The onus is on the user to know what their membership entitles them to.

Ok. I’ve been trying to see if Chase is 2 guests.

Tips for staff

Why can't you order just $20 and leave the $7 balance for the staff as a tip ?

My guess is that PP knew that wait staff would push customers to tip the full difference when they don’t use all of the credit.

Come to think of it. I know why. Because priority doesn’t reimburse full $28 when you buy $28 worth of food. So if you only use $20 and use $8 as tip. Priority doesn’t pay $8. It’s only the negotiated portion of the reimbursed amount.

Last year One Mile at a Time wrote that Priority Pass seemed to be reimbursing Timberline Steaks in Denver $24 for each $28 food credit.

According to Timeberline Steaks it’s $23, as they open the kimono on what Priority Pass has done for their business (and in ways that most certainly violates nondisclosure provisions of their agreement),

The waiter probably gets free food there. Maybe do that kind deed for a homeless person.

I think Priority Pass stopped paying for restaurants a month or two ago.

Correct.

However PF Chang is exiting soon and Timberline in Denver exited 10/15 already for all Priority pass memberships.

My guess is that the tipping problem is the biggest drawback for the restaurants. You can tell everyone to tip in cash/credit because you can't use the PP credit for a tip, but you know there must be a lot of people who aren't doing that. Even if only 10% of PP cardholders stiff the staff, it's a pretty substantial hit to their pocketbooks. These aren't very desirable jobs in the first place.

PF Chang’s LAX Leaving Priority Pass

This has been rumored for a while, but Priority Pass’ website has finally been updated to reflect it. PF Chang’s at LAX will be leaving the Priority Pass network as of October 25, 2019.
