Very Short Dusseldorf Connection

I have been scheduled to fly from Milan to the US on Air Berlin through Dusseldorf with a one hour connection. Is this really realistic?

Thanks

Assuming your flight arrives within 15-20 minutes of its scheduled arrival time, no problem at all.

Düsseldorf is a very good and very well organized mid-sized airport with short ways and efficient border control and security. The time Between leaving the airplane and arriving at your next gate should not take longer than 15-20min.

This time explicitly includes security and border control.

I usually always arrive at the airport 30min before the scheduled flight departure and always arrive at the gate before boarding commences ... Even during the Monday morning rush.

Yes. I did something similar last March, flying to STR and returning from MUC, and had no problems.
