Is there any way to get 3 status points without flying?

I am going to be 3 status points short of gold renewal(I'll have 807) for July 1.

Without taking another flight is there any way to do it? I don't care about the airpoints just the status points.

A lot of the time if you ring NZ up and are only a few short they may just give them to you/bump you up to Gold if you ask nicely. If not, then the old rule of "hang up and try again" applies. Otherwise you could just get a cheap grabaseat fare if you are able to fly NZ domestically.

The only ways to earn status points are by flying.

If based in NZ a short domestic hop even grabaseat will do the trick. If in US find a short hop (eg SFO-MRY, DEN-COS)

Standard policy would be to renew you when you are that close. Do call.

I had asked to be transferred directly to airpoints (I was calling from the US) and the reservation agent I spoke to said he could handle it. He spoke to a supervisor and I was advised they would e-mail the airpoints division to get me my extra points and something about when or if I would drop to silver I would only get one lounge pass instead of two?

I'm just waiting to see the three points appear.
