AKL-SYD is also being operated by a crazy amount of 744s on the 23rd - NZ119, NZ103 and an extra NZ111. Is it grabaseat because they are putting the 744s on, or because the 744s have a little overflow from whatever event they're catering for, that we have the grabaseat?

It's an awesome price, and seats are actually available at that price. So often you click on the Grab A Seat link and you can never get for the price shown.
Unfortunately I can't take advantage of a Japan trip.

Mascot race for grab-a-seat's 2nd birthday.

Has anyone else noticed lately that the number of grabaseats available has been lower than usual - at least when a lot of NZers would be up and about?

It's just past 6 a.m. now NZT and there are only single digits showing on all routes except CHC-NAN which is showing as "Try back later..."

Are all the earlybirds snapping these up - or are there just fewer seats available?

On other recent days there has been reasonable availability around this time of day, so I suppose it is just fewer seats have been released today (so far). Sometimes there is a 2nd round releasing further seats - perhaps when CHC-NAN is made available?

I'll give you the numbers once your check for my fee clears. For some reason it keeps bouncing

OT:

I received a letter from Kiwi Flyer's alter-ego once, offering the winning lotto numbers for just 200 Euro. I told her I'd do even better and give her half the winnings, AFTER the fact, and never heard back. Her loss!
