Can someone guest my girlfriend please?
My girlfriend is travelling through MEL (MEL-SYD-SFO) on Sunday 11 March 2012. Is it possible a kind flyer-talker might be able to guest her into the MEL Air NZ Lounge between 9am and 10am?
Much Appreciated,
Matt

It would be ignorant if I didn't know Christchurch was there. Clearly I do. You're entitled to disagree with my opinion of the place. As for the first part, I hardly think a couple of weekly shuttles is tiring, as I stated. Also not an example of ignorance, but an opinion. You seem to be ignorant of the meaning of the word "ignorant",

Wow - didn't expect to stir such a reaction.
The weekly commute is actually really easy - 60 minute flight twice a week, there's plenty who do that sort of time every day just to get around Auckland.
As for the implied Auckland v Christchurch debate, everyone is different.

The first flight CHCAKL on a Monday goes at 5:40am. The last flight AKLCHC gets in at 10:05pm. Being up before 5am on a Monday and to still be up at 11pm on a Wednesday (or Friday) for weeks on end is something I have personally found extremely tiring. If you have the energy for that, well you must really love your job.

Wrong way round.
I generally leave Auckland on the 0610 on a Monday morning, returning on the 1935 on a Wednesday night.
Given the lack of traffic at those times the journey to the airport takes around 10 minutes making the whole process pretty straightforward for me.
I know of people who spend just as long commuting around Auckland and they are doing it every day.
