yes, Cam Wallace has them in his sights unfortunately. I had an AirNZ flight a couple of weeks ago. I was looking forward to being “ home” compared to my regular QF flights, but was underwhelmed.

this isn't Works' Deluxe (as it isn't always available), but it is offering the main benefit of it. Now if QF offered Space Plus equivalent pitch (other than in Row 4), then it really would be closer competition.

Yep, know that. This was replacing WD so pax can buy at booking. seat free guarantee was the highest driver for buying WD.

NZ have lost market share.. And WLG in particular is just terrible. The single WLG/SYD flight is now a 1540 departure from WLG and 0755 departure from SYD.
It makes it impossible to go away for the weekend unless you want to come back at 0755 on Sunday or pay for another nights accommodation and miss work on Mon. I have a number of friends who have all booked QF for recent SYD trips.

Obviously it's going to mean moving seats in many cases if the seat next to you is already occupied.
