Benefits of being EP while being Gold..
Hi there,

Partner is wanting to gift Elite Partner (potentially to me). I'm currently Gold. If I'm not traveling with my partner (and using upgrades together), what other actual benefit is there for me being nominated as Elite Partner....? I'm keen to know..

Just seeing if it's worth gifting EP to someone else who doesn't have status as all..

There isn't really any benefit for you over Gold -- think of it more as "free Koru Club membership" rather than status (when it comes to upgrade priority for RUs etc it isn't considered)

Only additional benefit would be access to Silver Kris lounge if flying SIN-AKL in Y/PE, rather than using Krisflyer Gold lounge. And that may not persist.

Interesting - don't know why they would do this to Elite Partner...
On another note, can Elite Partner board first with Elites, assuming the Elite Partner is traveling alone?
