NZ Suspends PVG service - till 29 March
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/trave...-shanghai.html
Not much Info yet, but just of after cutting the service back to 4x weekly. They will now suspend the service until end of March at this stage.
Wonder how this will impact trade with China.

Some analyses suggest the global peak of infections will occur late Apr to early May.
If so, I wonder if there will be a more significant reduction in air travel to/from/between asian airports more generally? Either proactively as a control measure, or as a ‘lag’ response due to cancelled/deferred bookings?

Has the airline already sold its London slot pair?
Much of the rationale for cancelling LAX-LHR was that there were easier pickings available in Asia. But what if the Coronavirus outbreak doesn’t fade away?
The Spanish Flu pandemic lasted two years. If we see a similar pattern doesn’t that mean that the US and UK routes will become more important, not less important?

There is still the ability for passengers to connect to VS or UA in the USA.

New Zealand citizens and permanent residents returning to New Zealand will still be able to enter,
It is everyone else who is banned.

Not cancelled (yet) but all foreign nationals on those flights aren't permitted in NZ so I can't imagine they'll be flying for much longer.

Sorry for being so pedantic, but China Airlines is from the Republic of China (Taiwan) that is not affected by the ban. CA, CZ, MU are from mainland China (PRC).
