Aloha all,
I am rehashing an old post about lounge access for children to ask if anyone can explain the difference between above policy (child counds as member's guest allowance), and this rule from NZ website -
- Children: A maximum of three children aged 3 to 17 years (inclusive), may access Air New Zealand Lounges on a complimentary basis, if they are travelling with an Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner or Koru member, subject to space availability. Children aged two years and under travelling with an Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner or Koru members, may access Air New Zealand Lounges on a complimentary basis subject to space availability. If you are eligible to use a partner or Star Alliance lounge, children two years and over will count toward your guest allowance. Children must be supervised at all times.
Is a United *G considered an Elite Partner? If a *G is traveling on a domestic NZ flight and accessing a domestic lounge, are children counted as a guest? If that is true, under what circumstances are "3 children traveling with a elite partner" allowed complimentary access?
Thank you for helping to clarify!

Children count as guests unless very young. As ua*g you can have 1 guest flying nz.

The benefit of taking additional children is limited to NZ’s own members. If you are a non-NZ *G you are limited to one guest (regardless of whether they are an adult or child)
