GLD/PLT still able to book "C" class for KL awards?

GLD/PLT still able to book "C" class for KL awards?
Any recent direct experience from others that have been able to ask their KL res agent to take a seat from the "C" class inventory and convert into an award seat? this used to be a benefit for GLD and PLATs. Any other ways to get extra award inventory for business class to Europe?
