It is a KL marketed flight with a KL 'flight' number, so it should count.

Booking class ITA

Is there a way to check what the booking class is when looking for flights on ITA’s website? Before actually booking and paying for the flights.

I want to do an XP run in ITA’s European business class but I want to avoid booking a non-eligible class.

After selecting your flights, on the summary page, right on top of the "Fill passenger details" button, you have a link "Rules and conditions".
Click on it, then go on "Unformatted" tab and browse the conditions of e.g. Penalties/Surcharges, the first line will be something like "FOR xxx TYPE yyy FARES".

The first letter of the xxx code is your booking class. Check both out- and in-bound as both flights may book in different fares.

you can also search the same itinerary on expedia - expedia shows the fare code.

All ITA business class fares are earning. Specifically the cheap business (like the Barcelona to Italy for 200 EUR) are in I class.

The question from OP was not which AZ fare classes are eligible for FB earning, but how can he knows which fare class he's booking when buying an AZ ticket. This is a question for AZ site experts, hence my recommendation to ask in AZ forum.

Since I cannot see AZ moving from ST at least until July, it would be a shame not to highlight the possibility of spending a prolonged weekend in Italy and simultaneously do a worthwhile XP run!

Availability from AMS all across Italy for 300-350 EUR.
Example weekends in Venice and Florence in May / June:
48 XP for 316€ AMS-VCE r/t https://www.google.com/travel/flights/booking?tfs=CBwQ
54 XP for 341€ AMS-FLR r/t https://www.google.com/travel/flights/booking?tfs=CBwQ

Certain dates can get you slightly lower than 300€ by giving up one or two domestic legs worth 6-12 XP.
Above applies to many more than VCE and FLR!

Going back to the interesting ITA options here, I was able to get Trieste TRS from BCN on dates that I want in the summer. The price lies as low as €214 which makes it quite interesting. But the question is, will AZ have already left SkyTeam by then? No way of knowing.

ETA - the other observation is, this does not work in reverse, according to the small amount of research I did about it. Must start in BCN.
