AF 1366

Can anyone see why AF1366 (CDG-FLR) turned back today to CDG? I know it is terrible weather here in FLR, but under such circumstances plane would simply be diverted (that's what happened with the previous flight today). And other flights have been landing. App says: "operational issues". Just wondering whether I can claim compensation for delay (was scheduled on - now cancelled - AF1367 and now on AF1567, three hours later). Thanks

Technical issue would indicate that yes, you can claim compensation.

Would I be forgiven for asking slightly off topic here: is an A220 landing at FLR as fun as an A319 one?

Don't know yet - it is a new plane on this route, as far as I can see and I have not experienced arrival yet, only departure.... But given the Embraer also do hard braking, I assume it is about the same with 220.

There is not going to be a significant difference in approach speeds between A319. A220 and E190, so the braking will have to be similar as well.
