Air France economy row behind comfort

AF 777-300. I was thinking of the row behind E+, but as E+ have more recline and the seat behind them "enjoys standard legroom" I'm guessing this would be a seat that would be unpleasant once E+ reclines. Am I correct?

The Prem Eco cabine (W) is a separate cabine, with a bulkhead separating it from Y.

Yes, the seat in front of you can recline into you more than you can recline into the seat behind you. It is imo a slight failing of the system that they didn't give that row some extra space to compensate, while not selling it as Eco Comfort.

OP is concerned about the extra legroom seats, not premium economy.

As far as I have seen there is not more recline for Economy Comfort seats, there is only more legroom. So there should not be less space than in any other row if the seat in front of you reclines.

Do all AF aircraft have the hard shell coach seats which slide forward when reclined?

None of the Y seats are hard shell......they're your standard Safran seats that recline.

If you're talking about the old W hard shell seats on AF, a lot of appareils still have them, namely the non-retrofitted 77W with P (old La Premire), the 77W COI, the A330, the 789, and the non-retrofitted 772. The rest have a proper recliner seat in W.

For the sake of clarity, this is an Economy comfort seat, at the front of Y cabin in a 4-class 777 with refurbished P (this is row 35).
Obviously the first row in Y cabin has the greatest legroom (and worst screens), but AF sells the first 3 rows as Economy comfort.

AF website reads "The Economy Comfort seats offer extra legroom and additional seat recline". I think OP's initial remark is valid.

Lol the AF website also promises a lot of things, like premium refined dining exprience in W.

I see this Eco plus product similar to extra legroom seats like the extra legroom seats on CA or the US airlines......same bones, just more pitch.

Technically speaking, AF does not promise much in W: "Enjoy a true gourmet experience in the Premium cabin A complete meal that combines quality and originality" whereas in Y they say: "Enjoy a gourmet meal on our long-haul flights".

This is generally the case, or will be once the aircraft are refitted. I don't have the specifics for the 777-300ER to hand but as an example, the 777-200ER will have a few rows immediately behind Economy Comfort spaced at 31" pitch, with the rest spaced at 30"
