Yes, the lounge is on a kind of structure inside the terminal. There are other lounges and shops in the same "structure". I reviewed this lounge in this thread, so you may understand better looking at the pictures: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/31726395-post989.html |
Hi there, a quick question:
I haven't been flying Kenya Airways from CDG for a while. On a separate ticket domestic ticket, we want to connect (and ask for the bags to be checked through) at noon to the evening KQ coded flight. Will we be allowed to enter the lounge, at hall K most likely, 7h before the flight (or 4h before check-in opening)? |

BIG NEWS!
Was flying from BHX this morning and I was directed to.... the Club Room. AFKL finally got rid of the disgusting Aspire lounge, I could not be happier! The lounge was clean, and has toilets. I did not take many pictures as it was quite full but will do a review in a short moment. |
BHX
Name of the lounge:
Club Room BHX This lounge is focussed on table service so there is no buffet or open bar. You will receive a menu on entrance and your table is visited regularly for orders. Note that food service is not the fastest. Drinks service was rather fast. For an inexplicable reason, this lounge was entirely void of stag/hen do/low cost party crowd, despite also offering pay to enter. Location In front of gate 54 (North side, where the AFKL planes depart from) Opening Hours 4.30-20.30 Entry requirements AFKL eligible pax, PP, Pay on entry Food offer A la carte menu Snack bar (was empty when I visited) Drinks offer Hot drinks, Bottom-Mid Shelf spirits, wine and beer at the bar/table service Juice and water self serve Services Wifi: yes Showers: no Toilets: yes, albeit just 2 unisex toilets for the whole lounge (still better than the competition) Quiet zone: No Loungers/sleep area: No Business area: No, aside some regular tables Spa: You what mate? TV area: Unknown Passengers are called: No Information screen: Yes Newspapers: No Other information Number of seats: 50~ Level of noise: low Design: Executive, dark colors View: Windows on the tarmac, but bottom half of windows is blurred so you need to stand up to plane watch. Multi floors: No Terrace: No Smoking area: No Direct boarding: No Plugs/USB chargers: No (unless you are lucky to snag one of the very few tables close to a wall socket) Other: N/A https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...782e9d5082.jpg Breakfast menu https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...3136dce674.jpg Bar selection https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...5ece570dbc.jpg Eggs fiorentine (presentation great, slightly underseasoned, Im nitpicking) |

Possibility to ask for an espresso at the counter. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/752/2...5085559516.jpg Services Wifi: yes but terrible (almost not working even if the lounge is not busy) Showers: no Toilets: yes Quiet zone: no Loungers/sleep area: no Business area: no Spa: no TV area: no Passengers are called: yes Information screen: yes Newspapers: no Other information Number of seats: about 60-70, mostly on couch and armchairs (very comfortable, only positive aspect of this lounge) Level of noise: low Design: ugly… View: yes Multi floors: no Terrace: no Smoking area: yes Direct boarding: no Croissants were indeed bad, and bar still has a huge queue....and its just 10am.. It's also crowded and there are just shared seats left. There are no chargers outside some wall sockets |
Is it just me, or has the quality of the food offerings at some of the outstation lounges gotten worse ? Used the AF Lounge at IAD for the later flight a couple days ago, the food there was quite disappointing, barely on par with what one finds at the Crown Lounge at AMS (yes, that bad). No sandwiches on offer, only some soggy pasta with slop on top of it, and a not-quite-fresh salade. No fresh juices, just some canned crap I didn't dare touch- although sadly, this is also served on board now :td:. Don't get me started on what they claim was "bread".
Glad I ate before arriving at the aeroport. On the other hand, the 2E-L and 2F lounges at Roissy I also visited on the same itinerary had excellent offerings. |
RDU Lounge for STE+ on AF
Does anyone have recent experience with lounge access at RDU for AF693 (RDU-CDG) for STE+? The wiki says it's only for flights on Delta metal. Thanks

I would assume it would work in a similar arrangement with AF at ATL, where you would use the DL Skyclub under AF rules.

DEN-NAP
We’re flying through CDG on our way to Naples. We land in 2E and depart to NAP from 2F. Will we be able to easily get to the 2E lounge and then head over to 2F? How much time will we need to get to 2F?

No. Lounges in 2E are for departing pax
It varies, but whatever time it takes, just go to 2F and enjoy the lounge there which is quite good. |

No lounge hopping. Plus, 2E halls K L and M are for non Schengen flights, while you would go thru contrôle passeports and then 2F in order to get to NAP. |
