maybe I'll be flying this one then in June between CDG and SFO :-)

Small question, according to this website, http://data.flight24.com/airplanes/f-hpje/, the plane flew yesterday from DTW to CDG with the flight code AFR377V. I suppose this is not a commercial flight, but is there any explanation as to the exact meaning of the V symbol?

thanks :-)

sounds plausible (though why would they use German wordings for a plane which is already delivered to AF, thus not anymore departing from the factory in Germany...)

It's not -- AF longhaul flights ending in V are ferry flights (new airplane, fixed airplanes, broken airplanes returning to CDG/ORY....)

No, actually, this is where the A380 is in CDG instead of going to ORY. Because ORY does not have maintenance hangar.

It certainly won't be operating your flight.

It's probably not even going to be put on that route in the immediate future.

Why? They were selling PV on this flight.

AF11 is supposed to be a 772/77W mix... There was only a sub for 380 when there was an extra airplane floating around after NRT got pulled, but then PJD got damaged, 744's got back to JFK-CDG...

OK I misunderstood you, you are talking about AF 11. But AF 6/7 is still there with a 380. And according to Expertflyer it will offer PE in July (July 24).

Premium economy

Yes I was notified by Airbus the 5th A380 (F-HPJE) left Hamburg and was to land 2 hours later in CDG.

Nice thing to know is that this is the first A380 from Air France which will also have the premium economy or premier Voyageur class on board. Untill now only the A340, 777 and A330 were equiped with this new class.
