Go to Edit, then Preferences (at the bottom). Then select Content. One of the options should be "Enable Javascript."

When I click on the Edit tab, I get the following: Cut, copy, paste, select all, find on page.
What am I doing wrong?

Could be that different versions on different OSes have slightly differently configured menus? Mine has these choices you mention plus Find Again and Preferences.

You might want to explore the other choices on the various menus. You should find "Preferences" or something like that somewhere.

Just so you know, I have gone to TOOLS, then to INTERNET OPTIONS then to SECURITY and I enabled all scripting stuff there. Is this the same thing as what you are suggesting?

Indeed the menus are different in different versions.

Does not sound like "Security" would be the right place for Java and Javascript. Is there a "setup" option anywhere?
