Delayed Baggage Problem
I need some help guys. I flew LHR - YYZ - YUL and my bag did not make it to YUL. I filled a report. Now today (24 hours later), Air Canada says they gave my bag to Fedex but Fedex says that Air Canada always says that but they don't have it.
I called back the AC bag desk and they initially told me that they gave it to Fedex and when I told them what Fedex said, they changed their line and told me that they will give it to Fedex soon. I need to get my bag. What should I do now?
Anybody waited more than 24 hours to get my bag?
I think it is unacceptable especially that I paid for a Executive First ticket and I actually missed the cut off for my bag in YYZ by 2 minutes.

Welcome to FT
If AC gave it to FedEx or when they do... ask for a tracking number so that you can confirm when it was shipped and when it will arrive.
In the meantime if you need essential items buy them and keep the receipt to make a claim with AC. Or if you purchased your ticket with a credit card check to see if they have baggage insurance, most premium cards do. You might qualify for some compensation there as-well.
Good Luck

Yes...I did spoke with someone. I pressed on 'French' and I immediately got someone who answered...but he could bearly speak french
I checked on Fedex and they were right when they told me that AC was lying. They finally got the pickup call from AC during the night at 3:00 AM and the bag is in transit to come to my home.
Hope I get it today. But a YYZ-YUL where your bag shows up 2 days later is just unacceptable in my point of view.
