AC have any stake in UA?
I seem to recall AC coming to UA's rescue a while back, though could be my faulty memory of course. Wondered if AC could make another pile of money as it did with it's US investment when I read this story.

Just a thought...

When a fund takes a company private, cash flow is KING. New planes tend to consume great wads of cash, so I'm not sure your wish would come true in the event that United were to go private.

On the other hand, if you are a big enough fund, $3.7 Billion for all of UA could turn out to be quite the bargain, especially if they were to do an ACE and gradually spit out minirity interests in divisions to the public market.
