Me too, unless there's no J seats for sale and I worry about waitlists...

I wonder what happens if they catch on...

Aren't the 2 your earned in Dec 05 dated to be used before Feb 28, 2006?? I believe that is the new practice which we all have complained about.

IIRC some members were successful in lobbying to have them replaced by 06 certs.

I have used 2 SWUs, for a business flight last week to Europe (M class booking code). Otherwise, I will likely be able to use my remaining SWUs - with the flight pass, I may not be able to use my 6 SSWUs that I will get (2 with the package, and 2 each when passing the 45K and 75K thresholds) - in large part due to the flight pass product. Next year, I may choose a package with the minimal number of SSWUs, SWUs etc upgrade certs.

No, that problem seemed to be more widespread the year before. In my case, I crossed the 45k threshold around December 15 2005 and received two SSWUs in February 2206 that are valid until February 28, 2007. That's why I have four at this moment--those two, plus the two I selected for my 2006 Elite kit.

Unfortunately, it's all a bit academic for me now, though, as I expect to cross the 45k threshold again this December of this year but will receive only two SWUs that I won't use. I hear they make decent bookmarks and can also be used as improvised coasters.

No, too thin for coasters.

But the ones this year are too thick and hard to be used as toilet paper...

I have a bunch sitting in my briefcase and they're just not going to be able to be used. I have been flying in NA and I'm just never able to book the more expensive fare with my work so that I could upgrade. So sad.

I'm sitting on 11 SWU's and 2 SSWU's.

The SSWU's get used, but I have almost no need for the SWU's whatsoever. Would have loved to have been able to swap them at a rate of 2 SWU's = 1 SSWU.

Shame that last year's rate was 3:1 or 4:1 (didn't someone go as high as 6:1?)

I have 7 SSWUs and 8 SWUs

I am flying YYZ-HKG or YYZ-YVR-HKG returns every 4 weeks and flights have been so busy over summer that I can't get rid of any of them. Leaving again on 9th and same problem as well as return on 25th. 7-day waitlist not helping.

8 SWUs and no SSWUs left, with little chance the SWUs being used.
