Air Canada Mapping Error? (www.aircanada.ca)

I play around with the map on Aircanada.ca frequently, and tonight I noticed that they have added routes from yeg to fra and lhr. I assume this is an error? I don't see Air Canada launching these routes at the present time.

However, they aren't picking passengers up in YEG, YEG passengers will still fly to Calgary to make this flight right. YEG is just to pick up the extra fuel needed. So that wouldn't warrent the website placing Edmonton as a destination.

Not to mention the fact that the diversion is only occuring for a week.

the last year I worked at AC and they did this they called all the YEG passengers and told them they would board the flight in YEG so unless it
has changed they do pick up passengers in YEG.

Okay, but they wouldn't place Edmonton as the destination on their website would they? It just doesn't add up.

I thought so as I can see it my TA CRS as being sold YEG-LHR/FRA, even though aircanada.com isn't displaying it as such.

I am optimistically hopeful that AC has seen the error of their ways and will be having non-stops to europe from YEG

All thats needed is a proper train between the two cities..
Calgary and Edmonton need to address the problem not AC.

Its all of 150 miles........ ????

I still am siding that this is an error. But I do believe YEG will have some sort of scheduled European service in 12-36 mths because of the growth of population and industry. Edmonton is becoming more of centre of commerence than in the past. When I travel abroad with my job, it has been interesting how much notice Edmonton gets in conversation about investment in Canada. 2 years about it was Calgary and T-dot.
