I ended up selecting the EUPs and Wifi (since I figure that can extend into next year) and actually had 20 EUPs deposited into my account instead 10 so that's a nice bonus.

I had reached out on Twitter per Cow's suggestion and the Altitude team had no idea and is investigating further. I'll report back when I get an update as it might be beneficial for someone else.

Edit: They just got back to me on Twitter:

Super Elite 100K, you will be granted this status regardless what you selected for your Elite 75K privileges. Also note that the Lower Requalification is not extended to members when selecting their privileges during Early Recognition. Hope this helps! Have a great day! /Max
Nice! Let us know if this happens smoothly at the beginning of next year or if it ends up requiring follow-up, etc.

Just curious - did you actually get 30 eUpgrade credits? You should have received the 10 as your Select Privilege, but you also receive 20 when you hit 75K as a Core Privilege.

E50K push

I’m wondering whether making a push for E50K before Oct 31 is worth it.

My main concern is that, is the Oct 31st deadline the deadline for being picked up or flying? I wouldn’t want to go through the trouble, complete the flight on Oct 30th for example and then be told, oh, you weren’t recognized as E50K by Oct 31st, so it doesn’t count (but enjoy E50K next year).

If the qualifying flight is before the 31st you will get early recognition, but it will not be instantaneous.

Please read the last two days of posts in this thread, as it should answer your question.

I changed an Aeroplan flight for a comfort fare and will now finish the year with just over 100K miles so I won't be able to confirm if Twitter was correct. It wasn't worth the risk of coming in short.

Yes, they just didn't post at the same time but I did receive 30 last week and and I'll get another 10 in a couple of weeks when I cross 80K

Reached 100K qualifications but still showing 75k without ability to select privilege

Sorry if this has been asked before : finally reached the 95seg and aqd for 100k and altitude dashboard shows 100% completion but isn't giving me the option to select privileges and so shows a 75k status. Does anyone know if there is a delay between qualifying and being actually given early recognition status for that level? (was hoping to give spouse 50k asap for his upcoming trip so that he can access the united lounges)

I'd expect one day after hitting the requirement. If not, Tweet them.

Just passed 75K and it seemed to be a couple of hours from miles posting to being able to select privileges. But I am in Australia so there may have been an overnight in Canada there somewhere. Anyway, very quick. 100K next week

I will hit the threshold with a trip on 29-Oct, which probably won't post to Aeroplan until 01-Nov. I reached out to Altitude on Twitter and got a pretty canned response, similar to the fine print on the site. They did add in, however, that "...if you are flying on the 31st, you would not qualify as the AQM/AQD would not be accounted for in the system in a timely manner." And then after further requests for clarification they said that if it doesn't post to AP by 31-Oct then you're out of luck.

Is this just a blanket response so they aren't inundated with requests or is there actually a sweep post 31-Oct? Anyone have experience with this?

According to cow above - he does say sweeps happen afterwards as well.

Given how poorly AC posts flights (especially the AQD part) - if they held true to your response, you'd have to fly before Oct 1 to make the Oct 31. deadline.

Yeah, I saw his comment about that but there's a difference between saying they do and actually having had it happen to you, especially when the official word, both in writing and via feedback, is different.

Read through this thread. Every year, there are sweeps.

I did (well, the last third perhaps). But in past years the deadline was Oct 15th. And I also saw people saying they had flights before month end and never got caught up in a "sweep" so I'm wondering if the 15-Oct really meant end of October on the past but now it means posted by 31-Oct, as they say in the fine print.

Here's one example from last year. I see no reason to escort this year to be different.

Passed 75K a week ago but because of fluctuation in the AQD applied to various FP redemptions through the year, was $28 short of the 75K AQD. Flight that covered that gap has now posted AQM (and passed the 80K incentive, whatever it is) but the AQD lady has not caught up. Not only do I want my red card back but I'm holding off FP purchase pending that.
