Overheard: UG certificates are ALREADY "electronic"!

This sounds like it could have been an employee travelling on a pass. The system is mostly electronic with a few destinations still requiring coupons.

No coupon required....all done electronically.
That's what I thought, and why I was so surprised that the passenger tried to tender something, and the agent stated they no longer needed to collect them.

Sounds like exAC might be on to something, but same question I suppose. If they don't need to collect them, why do they need coupons in the first place?

In former times there was a need to fill out blank passes and hand them in for all travel. Over the last few years it has gone mostly electronic, but there are still a few places that they are required.

Believe it or not:

There are many many airline employees who hardly ever travel. I have even known one or two that are afraid of flying.

There are just as many questions about employee travel among employees as there are frequent flyer questions about flying frequently. There is even a website like this one for employees.
