I couldn't agree more. On the few occasions I have spoken to them they have been great.
One question tho' - how does one become a concierge?

Though SE is just a dream for me right now... I dropped my passport and a very nice Concierge picked it up and handed it to me on the air bridge... So, if someone could show this message to her and thank her (she did 856 last night), that would be great!

I'm not sure, but I wish I could draw from a pool of applicants that could produce such employees.

I have been most impressed with the gang in Chicago. I had a period in 2002 where I dropped to E before requalifying SE during the year.
On day trips to Chicago I was still met in the morning with a friendly smile and my boarding pass for the evening. They also usually included the list of the flights for the evening and the load factors in case I wanted to change flights.
The ORD gang will help me out even when I'm not flying anywhere near them.

Printed off this thread and dropped it off with concierges in LAX yesterday.
They were not aware of it and were thrilled with all the positive feedback.
This is great positive reinforcement for a service that we all value.

Yep, dropped it off with Janice and Paul at ORD over the weekend, en route to CPH and AMS (Thanks MainlyUS for that last post before I printed it off! perfect timing).
It was my first time meeting them and Paul was great. Flights were delayed so he paged me and put me on an earleir flight. Nice guy.

I've taken care of the North America and Europe stations. All the concierges were very appreciative of the support.

It would be great for a few of the Concierge's to join the forum, what a way to comunicate in an annoymous way, and still keep the side up..
I am sure they have so much to contribute.
Having just come through SYD again....I was blown away....can't go into detail but everyone has been thanked....
You guy are the best!

Fantastic service from David McMahon in LHR for my trip with infant yesterday -- even helped me carry stuff onto the plane. He made sure we were met by a concierge in YVR who took us right through to baggage pickup.
My first trip as an SE -- very very impressed.

I have met concierges at all places except YYZ!! So can't answer the query. I understand there are 40 people in black at that station, so answers should be forthcoming.
I'll be going through HKG on 7th am and will, probably, meet the concierge. In that case I'll give them the thread and will let them know about the forum.
As far as response from them is concerned, they answer their cell phones all the time and there's no VOICE MAIL. So, no buttons to press.

Posting this for another FTer. I am sure the YYZ concierges are waiting for this.
---
Having just departed YYZ on a cold and blustery day one can only wonder at
the marvellous experience I have just had!
It was an encounter with two of the best concierges at YYZ: Lynn Roberts and Anne Rosen.
Thank you both so much for your help.
They are both readers of FT, I told them I was Empress but they didn't
believe me,(don't know why) so I have asked Empress to post this on my behalf
so I can keep my secret identity.
I believe that the concierge is without doubt one of the best parts of
Aeroplan, a big reason I have stayed loyal.
I wish there was a way we could thank them better!!
