Is it Possible??

Is it possible to use the maple leaf lounge when getting off an AC flight, assuming your travelling domestically and are travelling business class?? I'm doubting that it is, but should people not be allowed to, it can be a nice relaxer, rather than waiting for your bags in the luggage area for half in hour.

Never been denied when I try to use the MLL after a domestic flight.

But you're an SE, Empress. Based on my experience as an Elite, MLLs have not permitted deplaning non-SEs access to the lounge under normal circumstances for many years. [This used to be a benefit of the enROUTE CLUB, which gave lounge access by invited membership before Elite status was created with MLL access as a benefit.] CP used to let its President's Club GOLD members to use their EMPRESS lounges both before and after flights, but changed this when PLATINUM was created. This then became a perk of this top tier only.

I was meeting a friend at the airport (YYZ) who was arriving about 2 hours after I did and I had no problem getting in and hanging out at the MLL in T2.

Cheers

If you are an Elite or SuperElite member and if the lounge is not too busy then you will be allowed in for a limited time.

If you're only travelling in Business Class and no status then you will not be allowed!

I have another MLL question. I have a flight coming up that I had booked awhile back YUL-YYC. Now that I am flying YUL-YYZ weekly, I arranged my return to land just over an hour before I fly to YYC. Can I land at YUL and get the MLL agent to check me into the YYC flight, or can the agent at YYZ check me onto the YUL-YYC flight? It isn't really a connector flight so I am not sure if this can be done in YYZ.

Confused...

But if I understand correctly any AC agent can check you in for any AC flight and most of the STAR ALLIANCE flights from anywhere and anytime assuming they are AC staff and running RESIII system...

So... the agent in YYZ can assign to the YUL-YYC and produce the boarding pass for you!

I'm kind of confused on the routing but I assume you're going YUL-YYZ-YYC or YYZ-YUL-YYC? Either way, if you are flying on AC all the way, there would be no problem in having the agent at the originating airport (either YUL or YYZ) check you in through all the way. Same for baggage. No need to worry about it at the MLL - enjoy an ice cold Canadian while you're there

Cheers.

Up until a month or so ago, I worked in solely in YUL. So I was able to book most of my travel to YYC (where I live) well in advance. Then I had dutie's in Ontario added to my schedule. So I now fly YUL-YYZ for 3 days a week, but already had this travel to YYC booked way in advance. Sorry for the confusing first message, the routing is YYZ-YUL-YYC. Don't worry, it confuses me as well!

If you speak with someone lnowledgeable in YYZ ticketing it is possible they will allow tou to merge both tickets and allow you to fly YYZ/YYC direct. It will only be done at the airport an not all agents know how to do this...but if you insist nicely it can be done.
Then again, if its points you're after.........go for it and do the connection.

When you call AC ask them to "link the PNR's together". That should do the trick.
